Steve Seung-Young Lee, PhD, is Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the Retzky College of Pharmacy at UIC. His lab has worked with other University of Illinois Cancer Center members to develop advanced methods for 3D multiplex imaging and spatial multiomics of various preclinical and clinical tumor tissues. Their methods contribute to improving the understanding of the tumor microenvironment and developing new, effective cancer therapies. His goal has been to advance science and technology for fighting cancer. He has led many projects for developing engineering tools and methods for cancer-targeted drug delivery, imaging, molecular assay and cancer immunotherapy. He has authored peer-reviewed papers, book chapters and technical patents. He has received awards/grants from the National Cancer Institute (NCI), American Association for Cancer Research (AACR), Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer (SITC), Komen foundation and others for cancer research.
