Sejeong Shin, PhD, is Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Physiology and Biophysics at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at UIC. Her research focuses on understanding the mTOR, PI3K/AKT, RAS/ERK, and TGF-beta signaling pathways to uncover therapeutic strategies for cancer. Her work explores the mechanisms of EMT, the mTOR feedback loop, and drug resistance to targeted therapies, with the goal of advancing effective cancer treatments.
