Sandeep Kumar, PhD, is Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at UIC. His primary research focuses on exploring the regulatory roles of MAPK upstream kinases in the anti-tumor function of peripheral and tumor-infiltrating T cells and apoptosis resistance in tumors. His research objectives are to develop rationalized therapeutic strategies to boost anti-tumor immunity and overcome drug resistance in breast and pancreatic malignancies.
