Ryan Nguyen, DO, is Assistant Professor in the Division of Hematology and Oncology at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at UIC. A practicing medical oncologist at UI Health, he specializes in the care of patients with melanoma and lung cancer. As a researcher, he develops and oversees cancer clinical trials. He is among the founders and leaders of the Precision Oncology Tumor Board, which is supported by the Cancer Center, UIC and UI Health. His research in health disparities has also led to his interest in studying the impact of lifelong chronic stress, also known as allostatic load (AL), on cancer outcomes. He is a recipient of the prestigious Robert A. Winn Excellence in Clinical Trials Career Development Award (Winn CDA).
