Robin Mermelstein, PhD, is Distinguished Professor in the Department of Psychology in the UIC College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, Director of the Institute for Health Research and Policy (IHRP) and Co-Director of the Center for Clinical and Translational Science (CCTS). Her interests span the full range from basic mechanisms of health-related behaviors and disease to clinical research, population health and dissemination. The primary focus of her work is understanding and reducing tobacco use across all age groups and in vulnerable populations. Her research has been continuously supported by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) for nearly four decades.
