Dr. Rachel Caskey combined her clinical interest in disease prevention with her public health interest in population health to develop a research platform focused on disease prevention through scalable behavior change interventions. Her work has focused on prevention of Human Papillomavirus (HPV) disease through vaccination.

As a health services researcher, Dr. Caskey has experience in clinical trial design and implementation, as well as public health program implementation and analysis. She had conducted multiple successful clinical trials that recruit adults, children and families. As a practicing Pediatrician and Internist, Dr. Caskey takes a life-course approach to health and prevention.

She serves as the Director of Data and Outcomes for the University of Illinois at Chicago Coordination of Healthcare for Complex Kids (CHECK) program. Dr. Caskey connects her research to program and policy efforts in Chicago by participating in multiple education and advocacy initiatives.

She is actively involved in HPV vaccine education and advocacy efforts through the American Academy of Pediatrics (Illinois Chapter) and the American College of Physicians.
