Noor Naffakh, PharmD, MS, BCOP, is Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice at the Retzkey College of Pharmacy at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC). She is also co-leader of the Precision Oncology Tumor Board (POTB), which is supported by the University of Illinois Cancer Center, UIC and UI Health, UIC’s academic health enterprise; and a Clinical Pharmacist in Hematology/Oncology at UI Health. Her work bridges clinical care, education and research to advance precision oncology. Her clinical practice focuses on integrating next-generation sequencing (NGS) data into actionable treatment strategies for patients with advanced cancers who have exhausted standard treatment options. This includes developing targeted therapeutic plans based on genomic alterations reviewed by the POTB. Her research is centered on evaluating the clinical and economic outcomes of precision oncology interventions. She is dedicated to advancing biomarker-driven therapies and fostering the integration of cutting-edge research into clinical practice. She has contributed to the field through publications and presentations exploring innovative applications of artificial intelligence (AI) in clinical decision support, particularly in non-small cell lung cancer. By integrating AI and pharmacogenomics into oncology practice, her work seeks to improve the precision, efficiency, and accessibility of cancer care.
