Matías E. Sánchez, MD, is Assistant Professor in the Division of Hematology and Oncology at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC), and he specializes in treating patients with different blood cancers who need stem cell transplantation and cellular therapies at UI Health. He is deeply intrigued by the complexities of multiple myeloma treatment strategies and the factors influencing patients’ responses, and he is particularly interested in exploring novel therapeutic approaches, elucidating mechanisms of drug resistance, and developing innovative methods for monitoring disease progression and treatment efficacy. His goal is to contribute to the development of personalized treatment regimens that optimize outcomes.
