Autophagy is an evolutionarily conserved catabolic process in which cytosolic content is engulfed, degraded in lysosomes, and recycled. The Aldrich lab aims to discover and develop selective, small-molecule modulators of this pathway to study its role in immunity, neurodegeneration, and cancer to identify new therapeutic strategies for unmet needs.
