Kristen Malecki, PhD, MPH, is  Professor and Division Director of Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences in the UIC School of Public Health. She joined UIC in 2022. Her translational environmental health research focuses on the examination of the combined impacts of chemical (air pollution, water pollution), physical and social stressors, and their influence on adult chronic diseases, aging and health disparities. Her research uses emerging multi-omic tools including epigenetics, transcriptomics, and the microbiome to identify interim biomarkers of exposure and response for cancer prevention and control.
