Karriem S. Watson, DHSc, MS, MPH, is a Research Associate Professor in the UIC School of Public Health and Chief Executive Officer of the UI Health Mile Square Health Center, a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) with a network of clinics that is part of the UIC academic health enterprise. He is a community-engaged health disparities researcher with experience in community-based participatory research (CBPR) and implementation and dissemination science. He returned to UIC in 2024 after serving as the chief engagement officer for the All of Us Research Program at the National Institutes of Health. Prior to that role, he served as the Associate Director for Community Outreach and Engagement at the Cancer Center, and he spent over 15 years as a community-engaged research scientist at Mile Square. He is committed to engaging the next generation of clinical research scholars and public health leaders.
