John (Sean) Quigley, MD, is Medical Director of the University of Illinois Cancer Center Clinical Trials Office, a Professor of Hematology and Oncology at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at UIC, and a hematologist who cares for patients at UI Health. A physician-scientist engaged in translational investigation of acute leukemias (AML/ALL), his research is focused on leukemia and methods for cell metabolism to kill cancer cells. He has designed and led clinical trials addressing new treatments for patients with acute myeloid leukemia. He also serves as institutional Principal Investigator for the Alliance for Clinical Trials in Oncology, part of the National Clinical Trials Network sponsored by the National Cancer Institute. He previously served as Chair of the Cancer Center Protocol Review Committee.
