Jian Zhou, PhD, is Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC). His research interests include detection and identification of novel circulating biomarkers for cancer disease management (screening/early detection, diagnosis and prognosis) and personalized medicine, engineering in vitro tumor organoids models for drug response tests, immune cell-tumor cell interactions, and mechanical regulation of tumor cells. He develops novel microfluidic systems for single cell analysis, in vitro 3D tumor models and translational medicine.
