Dr. Grace Guzman-Hartman is the Associate Professor of Pathology at the University of Illinois College of Medicine. She serves as the medical director of hepatobiliary pathology services.
Dr. Guzman-Hartman focuses on the translational study of liver diseases, hepatocellular and colon carcinoma, addressing pathogenesis, cell signaling, development of human tissue arrays, and characterizing biomarkers.
Her role as contributor, consultant, and surgical pathologist for the Cancer Center is supported by expertise gained from many years of clinical practice in an academic referral center as a surgical pathologist, mentor to students of pathology in various levels of training, years of involvement in clinical translational research, publications, and co-investigator of NIH grants on tumorigenesis.
