Grace Guzman, MD, is Associate Professor of Pathology in the University of Illinois College of Medicine at UIC and medical director of Liver Pathology Services at UI Health. She focuses on the translational study of liver diseases, hepatocellular and colon carcinoma, addressing pathogenesis, cell signaling, the development of human tissue arrays, and characterizing biomarkers. Her role as contributor, consultant, and surgical pathologist for the Cancer Center is supported by expertise gained from clinical practice in an academic referral center as a surgical pathologist, mentor to students of pathology at various levels of training, involvement in clinical translational research, publications, and co-investigatorships of National Institute of Health (NIH) grants on tumorigenesis.
