Gayatry Mohapatra, PhD, is Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Pathology at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC). Her primary research interests include development and use of high throughput genomic approaches for studying cancer, using high throughput genomic data to stratify patient tumors into treatment subgroups, and comparative onco-genomics. Her research focus has been focused on the genomic characterization of subset of high grade serous ovarian cancer with poor outcome, functional characterization of key genes that are associated with clinical outcome in patients with high grade ovarian cancer, and identifying genes that are involved in platinum resistance.
