Dr. David Peace is a Professor of Medicine and is specialized in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology. His research is directed towards the development of effective cancer immunotherapies. Dr. Peace has focused on vaccine induction of specific T cell mediated responses for the treatment of prostate cancer. He has an extensive background in the development and management of clinical trials.
Dr. Peace oversees multiple trials in GU and hematological malignancies as a Principal Investigator. For a number of years, he directed University of Illinois Cancer Center’s clinical trials office and their Minority Based Community Oncology Program. He currently is a member of the University of Illinois’ Cancer Center and their Cancer Center’s Clinical Trial Office Advisory Board. He belongs to the institution’s prostate cancer working group and participates actively in their multidisciplinary GU tumor board. He is also a member of the Big Ten Clinical Research Consortium’s GU and lymphoma study groups.
His research is focused on tumor immunology and immunotherapeutics; and T-cells.
