Carlos Murga-Zamalloa, MD, is Associate Professor in the Department of Pathology at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at UIC. A physician-scientist in the Department of Pathology at UI Health, he specializes in the diagnosis and classification of hematological malignancies (hematopathology). His research focuses on the biology of T-cell lymphoma, with a particular emphasis on the role of actin-related signaling during T-cell lymphoma motility, proliferation and chemotherapy resistance. The goal of his research is to discover novel biomarkers for aggressive phenotypes in T-cell lymphomas and to identify future therapeutic targets.
