I serve as the Director of the Center for Outcomes Research at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria (UICOMP), where I am also Research Professor in the Department of Medicine (UICOMP) and the Department of Pharmacy Systems, Outcomes & Policy [University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) College of Pharmacy]. I am also an affiliate member of the UIC Center for Pharmacoepidemiology and Pharmacoeconomic Research, and a research affiliate of the University of Victoria Centre on Aging.
My research focuses on the use of comparative effectiveness research and cost-effectiveness analysis in health care decision making. My academic work has comprised authoring or co-authoring over 100 papers appearing in the medical and economic literature. I have presented my research at seminars and conferences both nationally and internationally. I have served on numerous national and international health economics-focused boards and committees, including editorial, grant review and advisory bodies. My research is funded by a variety of state/federal agencies and health system providers.
