Aaron Winn, PhD, is Associate Professor in the Retzky College of Pharmacy at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) in the Department of Pharmacy Systems Outcomes and Policy. His research is aimed at identifying the most effective, high-value treatments and to understand which patient and provider factors drive the use of new treatments. He has extensive experience doing research using large claims and electronic medical records databases and constructing mathematical models of the natural history of diseases to determine the comparative effectiveness of treatments and structural factors that are associated with use of treatments.
