Lustgarten Foundation Foundation funding opportunities that may be of interest to University of Illinois Cancer Center members.
Robert F. Vizza Clinical Accelerator Initiative
- Letter of Intent: 12/06/24
- Application: 03/14/25
- Purpose: Through its Dr. Robert F. Vizza Clinical Accelerator Initiative (CAI), the Lustgarten Foundation seeks to fund proposals that accelerate the translation of research discoveries into clinical trials. The CAI will provide academic, clinical researchers the opportunity to propose science-driven concepts seeking to advance the development of new therapies for pancreatic cancer patients while furthering our understanding of disease biology. This opportunity provides up to $2,000,000 over three years, with up to 10% for indirect costs.
Innovation and Collaboration Program
- Application: 01/06/25
- Purpose: The Lustgarten Foundation seeks to provide seed funding for highly innovative research with significant potential to lead to a change in the current paradigm or conventional wisdom. Proposals that involve collaborations across groups or that bring new expertise and/or technology into the field will be preferred. Preference will be given to proposals addressing understudied and/or poorly understood aspects of pancreatic cancer biology. The Innovation and Collaboration Program is not intended to support proposals aiming to incrementally advance existing hypotheses, ongoing areas of research, or proposals with the sole goal of generating novel reagents or resources. Provides $110,000 for one year, including up to 10% in indirect costs.
