The title “Acting Director” has been removed from Jan Kitajewski’s name, as he has been officially named the University of Illinois Cancer Center’s new director. Kitajewski, PhD, Sweeney Professor of Basic Sciences and Head of the Department of Physiology and Biophysics, has been appointed to serve as the director effective Nov. 13, pending approval of the University of Illinois Board of Trustees.
