You have two ways to tune in to WRLL 1450 AM, a Chicago Spanish-language radio station, on Wednesday, June 17, at 11 a.m., when they broadcast the University of Illinois Cancer Center's segment on the popular show “Cafecito con Vicky."
The featured guest will be Carmen Barragan, Community Health Organizer Manager at Brighton Park Neighborhood Council (BPNC). She will share updates on the work going on at BPNC and speak to her experience as a 2024 Hope Leaders recipient and being one of our valued community partners.
The Hope Leaders program, run through the University of Illinois Cancer Center Community Engagement and Health Equity Office, connects community organizations with cancer researchers to ensure community health needs help shape scientific projects.
