The University of Illinois Cancer Center is co-hosting the 8th Annual UIC Women's Health Research Day with the UIC Building Interdisciplinary Research Careers in Women’s Health (BIRCWH) Program, the UIC Center for Research on Women and Gender, the UIC Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the UIC Center of Excellence in Maternal and Child Health. 

Time: 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Location: Student Center West Thompson Rooms ABC 2nd Floor, 828 W. Wolcott Ave

Topic: Maternal Health Innovations

Description: The UIC Women’s Health Research Day features research related to women’s health and sex as a biological variable. The event includes presentations by an external keynote speaker, presentations from two internal speakers, followed by oral presentations of the top two abstracts and the poster session.

Call for Abstracts for Oral and Poster Presentations by March 31, 2026
Students, fellows, staff and faculty are invited to submit an abstract on their basic, clinical or translational research in women’s health or sex as a biological variable. Abstracts presented at other international, national and local meetings within the past year are welcome. The top two abstract submissions will be selected for brief (5-minute) oral presentations and will be awarded prizes. The other abstract submissions will be invited to participate in a judged poster session. The top two scoring posters will be awarded prizes.
