WVON Dr. in the House with Dr. Terry Mason with Karriem Watson, DHSc, MS, MPH and Sodabeh (Sue) Etminan, DMD, MPH
Tune in Sunday, April 6, at 10 a.m., to WVON’s “Dr. in the House with Dr. Terry Mason” when his guests will be Karriem Watson, DHSc, MS, MPH, Executive Director of Mile Square Health Center and Sodabeh (Sue) Etminan, DMD, MPH, Dental Director for Mile Square Health Center-South Shore.
Previously, Watson worked as a community-engaged research scientist with the Mile Square Health Center Federally Qualified Health Center network, the Associate Executive Director at Mile Square Health Center, the Associate Director of Community Outreach and Engagement for the University of Illinois Cancer Center and as a Research Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois Chicago School of Public Health.
Etminan’s clinical focus is on general dentistry and interdisciplinary care. The clinic works closely with other UI Health providers to offer oral health services prior to transplant surgery and cancer treatment, in addition to co-treating dental needs that arise with other medical conditions.
April is both National Minority Health Month and Head and Neck Cancer Awareness Month. Mile Square will be offering screenings for head and neck cancer throughout the month.
Every first Sunday of the month is the University of Illinois Cancer Center and UI Health Mile Square Health Center segment on “Dr. in the House.”
