Cancer survivors team up with Chicago Bears at “Crucial Catch” event

The Chicago Bears hosted cancer survivors, caregivers, and UI Cancer Center staff at Halas Hall, their headquarters and training facility located in Lake Forest, Illinois, on Saturday. The “Crucial Catch: Tackling Cancer” event was spearheaded by ex-Bears linebacker Chris Draft and the Chris Draft Family Foundation. Health organizations throughout Chicago drafted teams of survivors and caregivers to visit the facility. Guests participated in football drills, caught passes from retired Bears players, and practiced their touchdown dances with Staley Da Bear, the Bears mascot.
