Cancer Center at Illinois hosting Big Ten CRC Grand Rounds

The Cancer Center at Illinois (University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign) is hosting October’s Big Ten CRC Grand Rounds on Thursday, Oct. 15, beginning at noon Central Time via Zoom.

Presenters include:

  • Rohit Bhargava, PhD, Founder Professor in Bioengineering, Director, Cancer Center at Illinois, will discuss “Chemical Imaging for Cancer Pathology.”
  • Zeynep Madak-Erdogan, PhD, Associate Professor of Food Science and Human Nutrition, will present “Modulation of Cancer Metabolism by Metastatic Tissue Microenvironment and Drugs in Metastatic ER+ Breast Cancer.”

The Big Ten Cancer Research Consortium Grand Rounds are monthly educational events hosted live by the member institutions for faculty investigators, scientists, fellows, residents, medical students and clinical research staff. The goal of the Big Ten CRC Grand Rounds is to expand awareness, dialogue and opportunities for collaboration between member institutions.
