Bouvier Research Highlighted

A paper in the chemistry journal Angewandte Chemie coauthored by University of Illinois Cancer Center member Marlene Bouvier, PhD, part of the Cancer Biology research program, reports on the discovery of an enzyme inhibitor able to manipulate an immune process that plays an important role in cancers and autoimmune diseases.

The paper, “Discovery of the First Selective Nanomolar Inhibitors of ERAP2 by Kinetic Target-Guided Synthesis,” was published in September and includes among its authors Lenong Li, PhD, a senior research scientist in Bouvier’s lab at the University of Illinois College of Medicine Department of Microbiology and Immunology in Chicago.
